Fabrication of electro spun nylon6.12/chitosan @PES nanofibrous UF membrane towards dyes rejection from synthetic wastewater

Nanofibrous ultrafilter of nylon6.12/chitosan@Poly ether sulfone (N6.12/CS@PES) membrane were fabricated by chitosan casted PES and coated with nylon6.12 thin layer using electrospinning technique for dye rejection. The membranes characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD). capacity the to reject both cationic anionic dyes was evaluated basic blue dye41 alizarin red dye, respectively, regard solution parameters (pH, Zeta potential, pressure, concentration different electrolyte) through filtration system. In addition, influence on rejection, as well their potential interactions, has been investigated. An enhanced hydrophilicity antifouling property observed composite compared pristine ultrafiltration membranes. results show that rejection increase decreases operating pressure. At optimum condition PH = 7, pressure 10 bar 220 mg/L, ratio improves from 75.3 99.5% 71 82% respectively. Dye is not changed after 7 cycles change separation efficiency dyes. mechanical electrical properties investigated N6.12/CS@PES membrane. showed exhibited highest dielectric constant especially at low frequencies loss. This study demonstrated developed nanofibrous successfully proved be a good aqueous solutions.
